Preparing for Give Miami Day

Preparing for Give Miami Day with Harry Horgan

For thirty-five years, Shake-A-Leg has given people with disabilities, disadvantaged kids, and veterans access to the Bay. Our mission is to help people feel the healing qualities of Biscayne Bay through inclusive sailing, kayaking, boating, and exploring the water.

Here’s how you can help further drive our vision :

  • Building an Inclusive Community : Every contribution helps create a place where people of all abilities and backgrounds can learn, grow, and play together
  • Empower People of All Abilities : Your support helps children and adults with physical, developmental, and economic challenges gain independence through water sports, sailing, and outdoor adventure.
  • Inspire Youth Leadership : Shake-A-Leg Miami nurtures confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills in young people through hands on marine education.
  • Supports Youth Programs : Your gift provides adaptive boats, equipment, and accessible facilities that make the water safe and fun for everyone.
  • Fuel Innovation and Growth : Your generosity supports new programs, partnerships, and environmental initiatives that expand our impact.
  • Create Lifelong Memories : Sailing lessons, summer camps, Bay Days, and more. Your donation helps participants experience joy, adventure, and accomplishment.
  • Preserve a Miami Treasure: Shake-A-Leg Miami is the cornerstone of the community and a vital part of the city’s relationship with Biscayne Bay. Your support helps us keep this relationship alive.

Each dollar ripples outward, changing lives, strengthening community, and protecting the Bay we all love.

As we prepare for Give Miami Day, powered by The Miami Foundation on November 20th, we ask that you donate $35 or more to help fund our cause. We strive to continue changing lives and inspire people of all abilities through the healing qualities of the Bay!
