Autism Bay Day, held on April 12, brought together approximately 175 participants in celebration of Autism Awareness Month, creating a vibrant and inclusive day on the water for individuals and families of all ages.
Through sailing, boating, and waterfront activities, participants experienced the joy of being on Biscayne Bay in an environment designed to be welcoming, supportive, and engaging. The event emphasized the importance of creating spaces where everyone feels included and valued.
We were also grateful to receive a generous donation of life jackets from Land N Sea, helping support a safe and accessible experience for participants throughout the day.
Families, volunteers, partner organizations, and staff worked together to ensure that each participant had the opportunity to connect, explore, and enjoy the water in a way that met their needs and comfort levels.
Autism Bay Day continues to be a meaningful reminder of the role inclusive programming plays in building stronger, more connected communities.
