Sunday Social
Sunday water sports and socializing on Biscayne Bay, open to everyone: people with and without disabilities, adults and families.
Join us for our Sunday Social program
Adventure with the Sunday Social Program!
Sunday Social is a weekly get-together on the water, open to everyone: adults and young adults with and without disabilities, families and friends. It combines the thrill of water sports with socializing and, for those who want it, work experience, all within a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. Our boats are accessible, so adaptive sailing is open to anyone who needs it.
What the Sunday Social Program Offers:
Water Sports Adventures: Participants can enjoy sailing, paddle sports, fishing, and island exploration, all set against the beautiful backdrop of Biscayne Bay.
Creative and Cultural Activities: Engage in art, music, and multimedia projects that encourage self-expression and creativity.
Professional Growth: For those interested in gaining work experience, the program offers internship opportunities and employment training to help build the skills needed for future success.
Family Involvement: We also invite families with disabled members to join us for a free family sail. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience the healing and empowering effects of being on the water, while also learning about the various Shake-A-Leg Miami programs that can enhance their lives.
Why Join the Sunday Social Program?
This program is more than just a day on the water—it’s a chance to build courage, confidence, and connections. Whether you’re looking to develop professional skills, enjoy a day of adventure, or simply connect with others in a supportive environment, the Sunday Social program has something for everyone.
Come and be part of a community that believes in the power of inclusion, adventure, and personal growth. We can’t wait to welcome you!
