Shake-A-Leg Miami and campers participated in the 49th annual 4th of July Parade on Key Biscayne. Our Theme "The World is In our Hands" was an interactive float where parade goers had an opportunity to make a difference and recycle with SALM along the parade route. In all we collected over 10 bags of recycled bottles, had tons of Fun and were awarded the Best Home Made Entry. Shake-A-Leg’s giant sized earth was designed & built by Thad Foote, the Marine Trade School Manager, & painted by Cythia Shelley, the Art Department manager. Many thanks to all the staff and campers who helped create the float throughout the week. It was our best one ever!
