“Can You Shake It?”

The summer campers at Shake-A-Leg Miami were all smiles and could hardly contain their excitement on Monday June 30th as the Best Buy management team and The Geek Squad arrived with much-needed gifts for the Multi-Media and Art Centers. Their generous corporate contribution of Apple computers, software and underwater cameras will be put to use immediately. The eager summer campers will create a photo gallery that will be showcased in South Florida Best Buy stores. “Today, we’re here for you – the children,” said Best Buy General Manager Jurgen Ugalde. “Shake-A-Leg Miami is performing an incredible service to our community. It’s our corporate obligation to ‘give back’.”

Without missing a beat, the celebration was capped off with a “jingle, created especially for this occasion, which included a percussion performance by Shake-A-Leg Miami music students. With arms in the air and hip-hop moves all around, nearly 400 well-wishers, including grateful children and staff gathered at the threshold of Shake-A-Leg’s sea base to “Shake It” with our friends from Best Buy and The Geek Squad.

Lyrics and music for this "jingle" were produced and donated by Max McFerren, a recent graduate of Berklee College of Music.
