In March 2008 ABC launched Oprah’s Big Give, a reality show that challenged ten determined contestants to give big or go home!”. On the episode that aired March 23, the remaining contestants arrived in Miami and were given twenty-four hours to give away as much money as possible in $10,000 increments.

Shake A Leg Miami received a surprise visit from Cameron, the contestant billed as a “dot.com millionaire”, with a camera crew from The Big Give. Cameron negotiated an arrangement with Zodiac who helped Shake A Leg acquire a much-needed inflatable safety boat valued at over $17,000. The red Zodiac is used daily for safety and coaching as part of Shake A Leg’s disabled sailing and watersports programs.
