Greetings Sailors!!!

Welcome to Shake-A-Leg Miami – your waterside gateway to Biscayne Bay and your best sailing days! As you are probably aware, we got hit hard by Hurricane Irma. The docks were wiped off their pilings and ended up on the shore next to Monty’s.

We are working with the City of Miami to repair and place the docks and be ready for the Audi Melges Regatta on December 1st. We are repairing the existing docks and will be using them on a temporary basis, until we replace with a new floating system.

Our goal is to provide you a comfortable setting during your stay so you can focus on sailing, have an enjoyable race series and leave feeling better than when you arrived.

We are repairing the existing docks with dollars that we have raised following the Hurricane. We are also going to have to fund the replacement docks for an estimated total of $550,000. We hope the insurance will be providing a minimum of $250,000 toward the repair and replacement of the docks.

We are thankful and encouraged by the support we have received to date. We are keeping rates the same as last year and ask that you consider making a contribution to our rebuilding and capital campaign. Our goal is to raise a minimum of $300,000. This will enable us to move forward and replace the dock with a new and stronger floating system.

SALM operates year-round, seven days a week as a community water sports center, offering thousands of residents – adults, youth, and children with disabilities and economic challenges – the opportunity to participate in water sports activities.  We are committed to provide you with a home for your winter sailing series. Your support of Shake A Leg Miami enables us to provide programming, in a safe and nurturing environment where people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds can come to together to learn, make friends and become empowered by the water.

DRY STORAGE - includes:

Haul-in and -out with crane
Use of drivers and tugs
Water and hose usage
Facility usage
Electrical hook-up, if needed
UPS/FedEx receivables/storage
Wi-Fi

COACH BOATS/RIBS:

All coach boats stored on the water/dockside will be charged a daily storage fee of $35/day and are required to be registered with Shake-A-Leg Miami.

Upon registration, each boat will be assigned a SALM ID to be displayed prominently on your trailer and/or vessel. Unidentified boats/trailers may result in removal from premises.

INSURANCE:

All boats are required to show proof of vessel insurance when submitting a contract. Contracts will not be considered complete without proof.

PAYMENT:

Full payment submitted with the contract is accepted in the form of cash, credit card, or check (please include your boat’s name and sail # with your payment).

A monthly installment option is available ONLY in the form of credit card. By choosing this option, you’re authorizing SALM to charge the credit card on file on or about the first business day of every month.

SECURITY:

Shake-A-Leg Miami is not responsible for any damages to vehicles, boats, or trailers on the premises, nor any personal items left on same. All guests should take appropriate actions to secure their belongings.
